A writer who became
a strategist. On purpose.

Five years of professional content writing. A tourism degree from Panjab University. A life spent in and around the mountains of Himachal Pradesh. And a clear-eyed view of why so many extraordinary local businesses are practically invisible online. That is how Subtext Creative Works came to exist.

My story

How
I got
here

I grew up in Dharamshala. Not as a tourist passing through, but as a local — someone who knows the difference between the seasons, knows which guesthouses have been there for twenty years, knows what the mountains look and feel like when the crowds are gone.

I spent five years working as a professional content writer in Chandigarh. I wrote across industries, met editors who sharpened my instincts, and quietly became someone who understood not just how to write, but how to write for search — how to give a piece of content the structure and signal that makes Google trust it.

At some point I noticed something that bothered me. The hotels, cafes, homestays, and trek operators back home were extraordinary in person. But on Google, most of them were invisible. They had no website, or one that no longer worked. Their Google Business Profile was unclaimed or half-filled. They were losing bookings every day to competitors who understood digital presence better — not because they were better businesses, but because they were better found.

That became the problem I decided to come home and solve.

Why solo

One

who
knows
all
of it

Most agencies divide the work into separate silos — one person for technical SEO, another for content, a third for strategy. For a small hotel in Kasol or a homestay in Dharamkot, that means paying for a system built at the wrong scale, where no single person holds the whole picture.

I do not work that way. I write the content, build the strategy, optimise the page, manage the Google Business Profile, and report back to you every month with plain language — not jargon-filled dashboards designed to make the work look more complicated than it is.

I also grew up around these businesses. I know what a traveller searching "quiet homestay in Dharamshala" is actually looking for. I know the seasonal rhythms of Himachal tourism. I know which search queries bring actual bookings and which ones just bring browsers. That local knowledge is not something an agency in Delhi or Bangalore can replicate. It is built in.
